Membership Committee
The Texas State Membership Committee has the responsibility for establishing guidelines in the state by-laws and standing rules for membership including such activities as:
- Studying membership issues and making recommendations related to membership concerns.
- Encouraging active chapter recruiting practices.
- Facilitating the selection process of state honorary members and maintaining appropriate records.
International Membership Plan
All membership forms are available for download on the International website at dkg.org. To download the forms, log into the site, then navigate to Forms > Membership. In this way, you will be certain to have the most current forms available for your use.

Honoring Membership
At the state level honoring members for a specific number of years as a member is the job of the Membership Committee. However, at the chapter level the Ceremonies Committee is often asked to help plan or present this tribute. Click here for a ceremony that will help chapters celebrate their own 25, 50, or more than 50 years of membership. Ge sure and capture their stories for your chapter’s archival records.
Membership Building Idea
Here is a great idea from Lambda Delta - Area 18. They made a chart with the questions on it. Had members fill out their answers and post them on the chart. They bring this to every meeting so members can get to know members and add to their responses. New members said this was incredibly helpful.
