expansion committee
The Expansion Committee assists members in chapters and areas needing to create new chapters in Texas and to construct a more viable base within a chapter to meet the needs of women educators. When considering expansion, chapters or areas are encouraged to consider the short and long term possibilities with particular attention to chapters with more than seventy active members, multi-county chapters, growing communities and new campuses. A chapter, coordinating council or area seeking information about expansion may contact the state expansion committee chairman. The chairman directs the activities of the committee and works with the area coordinator and members to achieve optimal results with the state executive board granting permission for the establishment of a new chapter.
Questions about expansion possibilities and suggestions or ideas for the state expansion committee to consider implementing are welcome. Members are encouraged to focus on sharing the opportunities for membership with others through expansion within established chapters as well as working toward the installation of new chapters.
