headquarters committee
The Headquarters Committee, established in 2007, oversees operation of the TSO Headquarters building, purchased in 2006. The committee works closely with the archives, finance, personnel, and technology committees and the Headquarters staff. The committee consists of five members, plus the state president and executive secretary.
The committee’s responsibilities include overseeing Headquarters building maintenance; approving building expenses; preparing a budget for Finance Committee approval; determining building use for personnel, members, and chapters; establishing guidelines for accepting gifts; conducting an annual inventory of the building’s contents; seeking Executive Committee approval before making building changes or accepting gifts; promoting Headquarters public relations; conducting Headquarters tours; and recruiting member volunteers to assist Headquarters employees.
