Bulletin: Journal, issue 92-3 EntriesPioneer Women, Texas Storytellers, Betty Hill, Frances Ziegenhals, and Barbara Ardis received the Yellow
Rose of Texas Award which will be presented to them at the meeting of the Wharton County Historical Commission on April 27th at the Wharton County Museum. All three women are members of Alpha Iota Chapter. The Yellow Rose of Texas Award is a prestigious honor bestowed by the Governor of Texas upon women who have demonstrated exceptional community service, volunteerism, and leadership. Established in 1957, it is considered one of the highest awards for Texas women, recognizing contributions to community, history preservation, and state building. |
