Legislation Committee
The goal of the Legislation Committee is to promote two of the Society’s purposes: (4) to initiate, endorse, and support desirable legislation or other suitable endeavors in the interest of education and of women educators; and (7) to inform the members of current economic, social, political, and educational issues so that they may participate effectively in a world society.
Members of this committee provide information on legislation; apprise chapter members of educational issues being acted upon at the state level; and encourage other members to vote and to write and/or call legislators. Resources and information are shared with chapter members at state and area meetings as well as through a communication network that includes websites, newsletters, and e-mails.
