Each DKG convention and conference I attended, I tried to capture in free verse the events and emotions that surround the people and times. These have become known as “Convention Poems”. Lubbock Journey
The wind guided us on our Journey; The Founders propelled us with purposes. As the compass plots the way, we follow A Journey of sisterhood, learning and caring. Challenges to serve, nurture, educate and wonder Lead us to be the one who says, I’m glad you are here. We become even more as we serve others. We define hope with actions and challenges. |
Learning does not end with this convention. It is a Journey that is never ending. Meeting each new face, member and friend, We nurture them to grow and fulfill their goals. These few days we have shared new skills. We take home DKG ideas and ideals To educate those who could not be here To start them on a Journey of their own. |
Have you felt the wind and followed the compass? Let it refresh your mind and set new goals to Know the wonder and dream of the future. Celebrate the Journey with the joy of saying, Yes. |
